About Swedru Senior High School

The first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, opened Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO) in 1959. It was the first school run by the Ghana Educational Trust (GET). The school is in Swedru, on the highway between Swedru and Bawjiase.

MISSION

To give our kids a good education by putting them in a good social and physical environment for learning and to teach them values that will help them have good morals and integrity. We want them to be able to be responsible citizens after school, and we want to do this by working together with everyone involved.
